Well, I honestly didn’t think I would be blogging from this site ever again. I hoped to shift over to a new platform, but that has taken its time in coming about.
I have not been interested in hammering out words into the thing since my last post, and I have been busy in so many areas, that doing so has become kind of the last resort.
So where are we now? Well, 2024 has had some unusual and unexpected twists and turns. I’ve celebrated 40 years behind the mic with a new/old job. I’m now a regional anchor for NBC News Radio, and my voice can be heard on radio stations in various parts of New England.
Believe me, it’s hectic, and it’s a busy job, but as long as I feel I am making a difference, then it’s good. Still beats working.
Oh, and I have this:
I am feeling pretty happy with this one. My seventh book, “How the Story Ends” is normie fiction, if you can believe it. A look back at life, without living there, and examining the things we need to know, before we can move forward. It’s a pretty positive message for myself.
Tomorrow I make my first Book Tour appearance of the year, at Books at Bel Air, at the Armory in Maryland. I’ll be doing Four-Con at the Farm Show Complex again, the Chocolate Town Book Fest and others (see the events section).
The new site is a rebranding, of sorts. A good friend of mine has been giving me some insights into what makes me, me…there will be a new logo, some stripped down amenities, but it’s going to look great.
Other than that…my health has been whatever it is. I’ve had some physical issues but they are not difficult ones. No worse than some. The climate, our heat and cold, but also the social/political one is changing, and it becomes the question of whether we continue forward or fall back. The latter is disturbing to me.
Otherwise, I must make it quick. We’ve gotta get going, all of us.
